Chef Paul Albrecht, of Pano’s and Paul’s fame, will open four restaurants in Peachtree Hills Place, a private residential community for residents ages 62 and older. One of the restaurants will be open to the public, and the remaining three will be reserved solely for residents and their guests.

As currently planned, Chef Paul will open the member/public venue adjacent to a public access park within the Peachtree Hills Place community, near the intersection of Peachtree Hills Avenue and Virginia Place in the Buckhead area. With a seating capacity of about 65, the restaurant will offer a casual option for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Take out foods, breads, pastries and specialty sundry items are also planned.

The community and the restaurants are slated to open in 2009.

“The members of Peachtree Hills Place will welcome visitors to enjoy a market-themed restaurant operated by Chef Paul, and they will enjoy his cuisine in private dining venues as well,” said Dave Barnhart, managing partner of Isakson Barnhart, developer of the community.

Chef Paul (as he prefers to be called) has been a fixture on the Atlanta restaurant scene for more than three decades. He is one of the founders of the Buckhead Life Restaurant Group and is the “Paul” of Pano’s and Paul’s restaurant. His newest Atlanta venture, Paul’s, was recently listed by Zagat.

“The members of this community have been my loyal customers for many years, and it delights me to have the chance to take care of them and their now-grown children,” said Chef Paul. “The relationship Peachtree Hills Place and I share will set a new standard for communities across the country.”

For Peachtree Hills Place members, Chef Paul will oversee meal preparation for the main dining room, which will serve approximately 200 members and guests for dinner each day. A 50-seat themed dining room will offer dinner most nights and will be available for private parties and catered events. A private lounge and grill will provide lighter fare for lunch and offer a tapas style menu as it becomes part of the lounge in the evenings.

Even Peachtree Hills Place members who require continuing care at The Terraces, the community’s on-site skilled nursing and memory care facility, will eat meals prepared by Chef Paul and his staff.

Isakson-Barnhart is a Georgia-based developer of residential communities for age 62 and over. The company’s flagship property was Park Springs in Stone Mountain.
