Northside Hospital continued its tradition of honoring October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month by hanging two giant, pink ribbons at the hospital’s Sandy Springs and Forsyth campuses. The hospital’s Breast Care Program kicked off the month at the local campus by inviting breast cancer survivors to release pink balloons with messages of hope during a special reception at the hospital.
Every year, Northside Hospital diagnoses and treats more than 900 cases of breast cancer. The hospital hopes the decorative pink ribbon will not only honor survivors, but also remind all women to get their annual mammograms and clinical breast exams.
