Politically minded women from Buckhead, Sandy Springs and Dunwoody have formed a new group called the Tri-Cities Republican Women’s Club.
About 20 women attended the first meeting Feb. 25 in Sandy Springs.
“It went great,” said Buckhead resident Betty Clark, who handles club membership. “We had a lovely meeting.”
Club officers were elected. Vicki Willard of Sandy Springs will serve as president and Ginger Howard of Buckhead will serve as vice president.
The Tri-Cities Republican Women’s Club will meet the fourth Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. Meetings are held at the Fulton County Republican Headquarters, 5920 Roswell Road, Suite-B-115.
“I hope we do a lot for the community as well as our party,” Clark said. “We want the professional ladies to really get involved in this.”
