Sandy Springs Police are investigating a robbery that occurred in south Sandy Springs  just after 3 p.m. on Tuesday, April 27, at the Georgia Banking Company, 6190 Powers Ferry Road, suite 150.

According to the police report, a white male 35-40 years old entered the bank and told bank tellers that he was armed and wanted money. No note was presented. The suspect left on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. No weapon was presented and no one in the bank was injured.

The suspect is described as approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing approximately 180-185 pounds. Witnesses described him as having a “pot belly.” He had short, receding brown hair.

The suspect’s clothing was described as a navy blue jacket, dark blue shirt, blue jeans, and athletic running shoes.

Georgia Banking Company was able to provide police with photos of the suspect taken by surveillance cameras.
