Mayor says city attorney choices narrowed to three candidates

Mayor Kasim Reed announced the finalists for the position of city attorney.

The finalists are: Dwight J. Davis, senior partner at the King & Spalding law firm in Atlanta; Cathy Hampton, former chief legal counsel at RARE Hospitality International Inc.; and M. Hakim Hilliard, partner at McKenna, Long & Aldridge law firm.

“These candidates have exceptional legal experience and are committed to running a municipal law department that is efficient and responsive to the complicated issues that affect our city,” Reed said. “I am confident that we will soon have the right person in place to lead the city’s Law Department,” Mayor Reed added.
