Sandy Springs police say Dr. Kelly Thrasher was arrested in Miami, Fla.,by the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force. The Marshals received information leading them to a Days Inn Hotel in the South Beach area of Miami. Thrasher was located and taken into custody in the hotel room without incident. Thrasher had approximately $30,000 cash in his possession. Thrasher is being held at the Metro West Detention Center in Miami awaiting extradition. Thrasher, indicted in 2012 on child molestation charges, had did not show up for an appointment with Sandy Springs police on May 19, police said.
