Our players and I can’t wait to start the season. We know that with hard work we can and will be successful.
We lost some key seniors from last year’s team, but we have some young players that I believe are ready to step in and fill the void.
Freshmen Ty Hudson and Mikell Lands bring fresh talent to the Mustangs. Hudson will play wide receiver and linebacker, and Lands will play running back and linebacker.
Veteran wide receiver/cornerback and senior Ryan Moore returns and will counted on heavily this season. We’ll put him in a spot where he’s going to get even more touches [this season}. Defensively, he is a real shutdown guy.
Other seniors on the team include offensive linesmen Miles Mallory and Alex Butler. I anticipate they will be essential to the team’s performance.
Our program has started to evolve. We’re hitting our stride, and I anticipate a great year.
