The Dunwoody Green Market is looking for a new home.
The market, which has operated in the parking lot of the U.S. Post Office in Dunwoody Village for the past three years, has been asked to leave because the postal service needs its parking lot again.
The market must vacate in two weeks. Green Market vendor and organizer Paula Gilbeau said the city of Dunwoody has stepped in to help find a new location for the market.
“They’ve assured us we’re going to have a home, we just don’t know where,” Gilbeau said.
She said it’s unfortunate that the announcement came at the start of the market season.
“We were surprised. We feel like we’ve built up a really loyal customer base here. None of us are happy about relocating,” Gilbeau said. “We’re just at a standstill at this point.”
