Arthur Montgomery, one of the famous “Buckhead Boys”, died on Sunday, Oct. 15, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution. Montgomery was 89 and was with his family in his Brookhaven home when he passed.
Montgomery was president of Atlanta Coca-Cola Bottling Co. and deserves much of the credit for bringing professional sports to the area, the newspaper says.
He also served as Vice President of Atlanta Landmarks, credited with saving the Fox Theater.
