At the Dunwoody Nature Center, camp isn’t just a summer activity.

This year, the nature center will be offering a camp for kids during Thanksgiving week, according to a press release.

Some schools have a full week off for the holiday, so the two-day camp is an opportunity to keep kids “active and engaged in the days leading up to the Thanksgiving holiday,” according to the release.

The nature center said the camp will feature nature-themed crafts, games and activities. Kids will also spend time outdoors learning about the wildlife habitats of Dunwoody Park.

For the first time this year, the nature center will be offering two sessions of its popular winter break camp. During the winter camp, kids learn about the winter climate and study its effects on plants and wildlife, according to the release.
