In addition to sorting out the race for Dunwoody’s elected offices, voters also overwhelmingly supported Sunday Sales in Sandy Springs, Atlanta and Dunwoody and supported renewing a penny sales tax for education.

In Fulton County, 63.6 percent of voters supported renewing the penny sales tax for education, also known as ESPLOST. In DeKalb, 62 percent of voters approved it.

Voters also gave a toast to Sunday package sales.

In Dunwoody, 80 percent said they want to be able to buy beer at local stores on Sunday. In Sandy Springs, 85 percent of voters supported the idea. In Atlanta, 81 percent supported it.
