The Atlanta Dog Jog will be held in Piedmont Park on Saturday, May 4, starting at 9 .m. The annual run/walk event for dogs and their owners features a 1-mile and a 2-mile run/walk, which will begin at the park pavilion.
The Atlanta Dog Jog is presented by the Georgia Veterinary Medical Association and will benefit Canine Assistants, a non-profit organization that breeds, raises and trains working dogs for children and adults with physical disabilities and seizure disorders, and VetHeart of Georgia, which supports benevolent activities in the areas of community service, the human-animal bond, animal health and welfare, veterinary student education, public health, and the preservation of wildlife.
The cost is $25 in advance or $30 the day of the race for one runner and one dog ($15 for each additional dog). To register for the event, visit atlantadogjog.org.
