Beller

The reward fund for information leading to the arrest and indictment of the person or persons responsible for the Nov. 19 murder of Chelsea Beller, a manager at Barcelona Wine Bar on the Westside, has been increased to $33,000.

The reward money, raised largely by private donors, is facilitated through Crime Stoppers Atlanta.

Beller, 29, was shot during a robbery at the Howell Mill Road bar and restaurant around 1:45 a.m. Three black males entered as the restaurant was closing and tied up the employees with electrical tape. Beller was forced upstairs to open a safe and then shot in the shoulder. She was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, where she later died.

The three suspects fled the restaurant and hijacked car at nearby Yeah! Burger. The car was later found abandoned on Westshire Drive.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call 404-577-TIPS (8477). Callers can remain anonymous and are not required to testify in a trial, should the tip lead to an arrest and indictment.
