The Atlanta Opera will celebrate its 45th anniversary with productions inspired by the archetypal “hero’s journey” found in myths and fairytales from around the world.

The 2024-25 season will be highlighted by the “Bohème Project” at Atlanta’s converted industrial complex Pullman Yards from Sept. 18 to Oct. 16. The contemporary and immersive opera experience alternates Puccini’s La bohème with its modern-day analogue, Jonathan Larson’s Rent.

From Nov. 2-10, the Atlanta Opera’s mainstage series at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre opens with Mozart’s The Magic Flute.

Giuseppe Verdi’s Macbeth will see Atlanta opera favorite Michael Mayes in the title role, joined by Sara Gartland as Lady Macbeth from March 1-9, 2025.

Siegfried, an epic five-hour opera where love, courage, and wisdom triumph over the lure of unfettered power, will run from April 26 to May 4, 2025.

Closing out the season is Handel’s Semele, which sees the return of soprano Lauren Snouffer to the Atlanta stage from June 7-15, 2025.

Tickets are now available as multi-event season subscriptions.

Those who purchase season subscriptions by April 1 also get free parking passes for four Mainstage productions at Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre

Individual event tickets will go on sale this summer.
