On Wednesday, Jan. 22, the Atlanta Hawks will host their seventh annual Pride Night at the game against the Detroit Pistons which will include a special halftime performance from the Atlanta Freedom Concert Band.

The evening will also include special in-game programming that celebrates members and allies of the LGBTQIA+ community, according to a press release.

“We’re thrilled to celebrate love, diversity, and inclusion at State Farm Arena during our seventh annual Pride Night,” said Hawks’ Executive Vice President and Chief People, Diversity, and Inclusion Officer, Camye Mackey. “The Hawks are dedicated to fostering an environment that reflects Atlanta’s rich history, celebrates its culture of innovation and progress, and embraces the diverse voices that make this city extraordinary.”

To begin the celebration, singer Sirena Grace will be performing the national anthem prior to tip off. Sirena’s musical influences come from her Latin roots as well as hip-hop influences. She combines English and Spanish lyrics with dynamic five-octave vocals to create a Spanglish, R&B and Soul sound. A graduate from Kennesaw State University, her background in singing and acting led her to pursue film and TV production alongside her wife, Renee Montgomery.

At halftime, the Atlanta Freedom Concert Band will perform a set to help celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community. The band provides a positive representation of Atlanta’s lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, (LGBTQ+) and ally community through music. The band is a community-based, service-oriented organization that provides an opportunity for creative musical expression and outstanding entertainment in a welcoming, inclusive environment. Throughout the game, the Hawks will also celebrate members of the LGBTQIA+ community with interactive programming and video.

In October 2024, the Atlanta Hawks were official sponsors of the Atlanta Pride Parade and marched in the parade with presence from the organization’s team members, friends and family.
