Atlanta Beltline Partnership, a nonprofit that supports the Beltline through various fundraising and initiatives, recently announced new leadership and members for its board of directors.
Beth Chandler, the chief legal officer at pest control company Rollins, Inc., is stepping into the board chair role.
Chandler takes over for Kathy Farrell, who served for two years and led efforts like developing the majority of the Beltline mainline trail corridor through numerous philanthropic investments, among others.
Atlanta Beltline Partnership said that Chandler enters the role during a pivotal time, in which the nonprofit looks to advance initiatives such as the Legacy Resident Retention Program and secure funding for projects like the Bike Park at Westside Park and Enota Park, both of which are slated to begin construction this year.
“Atlanta Beltline Partnership has never been better positioned to connect communities and improve lives,” Chandler said. “Through our Advancing the Vision campaign, we’re focusing on critical projects that will ensure the Beltline remains accessible to long-time residents while creating new recreational opportunities for all Atlantans.”
In addition to Chandler, Atlanta Beltline Partnership also appointed five new members to its board of directors.
Joining the board is Channing Henderson (associate vice president of Asset Preservation at The Integral Group), Brenda Hofmann (chief of Internal Audit at The Coca-Cola Company), Jim Irwin (president of New City Properties), Conner Poe (assistant vice president of Government Relations at Norfolk Southern) and Jini Davis Thornton (chief executive officer of Envision Business Mgmt Group and Thank Me Later).
