ELEVATE Atlanta 2025

Each day of ELEVATE Atlanta 2025 plays out like a love song to a different corner of the city’s creative map. The festival’s theme, “Rooted & Rising,” runs through every performance, pop-up, and gathering, serving as a call to celebrate the neighborhoods and spaces that continue to shape Atlanta’s creative pulse. More than 200 bands will be performing on front porches and in yards across the Decatur neighborhood. The event, which runs noon to 7 p.m., is free and open to the public.

 Scarecrows in the Garden
Atlanta Botanical Garden, Midtown
Just in time for Halloween, the Atlanta Botanical Garden, the installation (which continues through Nov. 2) features scarecrows handcrafted by businesses, individuals, schools, and organizations.

Chalktoberfest
Oct. 11. Marietta Square
Eighty artists will be creating sidewalk masterpieces in chalk on the historic Marietta Square, along with beers and wines to sample.

Fall Festival on Ponce
Oct. 11–12, Olmsted Linear Park
The weekend arts festival will feature more than 125 artists from around the region, plus food trucks, a children’s play area, a live DJ, and more.

SCADFILM IN FOCUS: Horror
Oct. 10, SCADshow, Midtown
Celebrate the art of horror storytelling with screenings, panel discussions, and behind-the-scenes insights. Highlights include a “Terror by Design” session on HBO’s “It: Welcome to Derry,” the premiere of Black Phone 2 with special guest Arianna Rivas,  and a conversation with Patrick Wilson, the star of “The Conjuring” and “Insidious,” and Nick Antosca, creator of “The Act” and “Candy.”

Viktor & Rolf: Fashion Statements
Opening Oct. 10, High Museum of Art
Dutch fashion icons Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren have explored the boundaries between haute couture and art with breathtaking virtuosity for the last three decades. Their creations have been embraced by artists including Cardi B, Lady Gaga, Madonna, and Tilda Swinton.

A Shakespeare Happening
Oct. 11, Avondale Estates Town Green
Atlanta Shakespeare Company will stage “Shakespeare Shorts,” a fast-paced comedy performed by two actors with one unsuspecting audience member turned co-star, live music, and a sneak peek at the company’s upcoming prduction of “Hamlet.” The event is free from 2 to 5 p.m.
