Atlanta Black Pride Weekend was held over Labor Day weekend, but there are more events and festivals on the way this month.
Pride Lake
The Pine Lake community in DeKalb County will hold its annual Pride festival on Saturday, Sept. 12, from 2 to 6 p.m., with family-friendly events, including a march around the lake. At 7 p.m., there will be drag shows for ages 18+.
Equality Fest
Festivities will begin at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 12, at Midland Greenway, 682 Grove St, in Gainesville, with art, music, drag, food trucks, and more.
Macon Pride
The Macon Pride Festival will begin on Sept. 24 with the Lively Libations Beer Release at Piedmont Brewery and Kitchen. The festivities continue on Sept. 25, with the Haus Party at Churchill’s on Cherry, featuring “RuPaul’s Drag Race” season 12 winner Jaida Essence Hall. The Pride in the Park celebration kicks off on Sept. 26 at Cherry Street Plaza, with performances, vendors, and community groups from 2 to 8 p.m. An afterparty at the Tubman Museum starts at 8:30 p.m. The weekend concludes on Sunday with an Interfaith Service at Rose Parks Square from 4 to 8 p.m.
