Atlanta Children’s Shelter will hold its annual Legacy Builders’ Celebration event on May 8 at Uptown Atlanta.

Special guests include community pioneer Ann Cramer, senior consultant with Coxe Curry & Associates, who will share a keynote speech on the importance of honoring the legacy of the organization’s work in the community, while building a strong foundation for the next generation, and a former client of ACS, who will share her inspiring story.

Since its establishment in 1986, the Atlanta Children’s Shelter has been at the forefront of providing holistic care and support for families facing homelessness, with a special focus on early childhood education and family stability programs. The Legacy Builders’ Celebration not only commemorates the achievements of clients and the organization’s achievements, but the event also shines a light on the generous individuals and organizations whose contributions have been instrumental in its success.

“The Atlanta Children’s Shelter has made a significant impact, stabilizing nearly 5,000 families experiencing homelessness, including more than 8,000 children,” said Cameron Turner, Executive Director. “Our work, transitioning them to stable housing and sustainable employment, is only possible through the support of our generous donors – both corporations and individuals – who help us break the cycle of poverty for families in our region.”
