Gwinnett Burger Week is back. The annual countywide food event runs March 16–22, with 21 local restaurants offering a specialty burger for $12.

Explore Gwinnett, the county’s official tourism organization, coordinates the annual burger week and just released this year’s lineup, which spans a range of styles, from Hawaiian-inspired takes to Tex-Mex mashups to classic smash burgers.

“Each year, our restaurant partners raise the bar with creative takes on a classic favorite,” said Clara Rooks, Senior Marketing Communications Manager for Explore Gwinnett. “This event is a great reminder of the depth and talent within Gwinnett County’s culinary scene.”

What’s on the menu

Each participating restaurant creates a burger exclusively for the week.

Look for the “Big Kahuna Burger” from Diesel Tap House made with two Angus beef patties, grilled pineapple rings, pepper bacon, candied jalapeños and a teriyaki drizzle on a grilled Hawaiian bread bun. Local on North will serve the “Big Country Burger,” a 5-ounce ground beef patty layered with marinated pulled pork, cheddar cheese, crispy fried onions, jicama slaw, ranch, and peach barbecue sauce. At LR Burger, the “Bandolera” stacks a crispy smash patty on top of a folded quesadilla stuffed with sautéed peppers, onions, cheddar and pepper jack.

How the pass works

Diners who want to track their progress — and compete for prizes — can download the Gwinnett Burger Week Digital Pass.

Each restaurant check-in earns one point, redeemable for merchandise, including gift cards, aprons, sticker packs, and a t-shirt. Diners can also vote for their favorite burger by uploading a receipt photo to the event website.

Anyone who checks in at 10 or more restaurants during the week earns a spot on the Gwinnett Burger Week Wall of Fame, with their photo posted to Explore Gwinnett’s website.
