Tickets go on sale Wednesday, March 11, for the annual Amplify Decatur Music Festival, which will be headlined by Gillian Welch and David Rawlings.
The four-day event runs from Thursday, June 4 to Sunday, June 7, with the flagship concert hitting the new downtown Decatur stage on Saturday, June 6.

Billed as “A Decade of Music on the Square” to commemorate the 10th outdoor festival, it will feature performances by Welch and Rawlings, Patterson Hood of Drive-By Truckers, Dylan LeBlanc, Kyshona, and Georgia Mountain Stringband, along with the winner of an upcoming high school Battle of the Bands.
The four-day weekend of music will also feature:
- Thursday, June 4: Penny & Sparrow at the Avon Theatre in Avondale
- Friday, June 5: The Sundogs Present: The Tom Petty Show on the new downtown Decatur stage, preceded by pop-up performances on and around the Decatur square
- Sunday, June 7: “Amplify Hall of Fame,” celebrating music from 10 years of Amplify Decatur Music Festival artists
“It’s our 10th event and the first on the new downtown stage where so much great music will find a home for years to come,” said festival director and co-board chair Christine Mahin in a news release. “Personally, it’s also my 10th festival, and it’s been an honor to watch the community rally around Amplify, its music, and its cause over the last decade.”
All proceeds from the festival weekend will go to Decatur Cooperative Ministry and the Decatur Education Foundation.
