Terri Montague, CEO of Atlanta BeltLine Inc., will be the featured guest speaker at the July 18 meeting of the Northwest Community Alliance (NCA) at 7 p.m. at the Rising Roll restaurant located at Northside Drive and Bellemeade Avenue.
In addition, Ryan Gravel, the inspiration for the city of Atlanta’s BeltLine project, will start off the evening discussion talking about his the thesis he did when a graduate student at Georgia Tech which inspired the BeltLine.
The BeltLine is a planned multi-year development project to create trails, green spaces and parks, commercial and urban residential developments and a transit line that would encircle the downtown of Atlanta and link the city’s neighborhoods.
“Montague was hired after a nationwide search,” explained Michael Koblentz, chairman of NCA. She was most recently CEO of Enterprise Community Parters, a national community development organization. “She is a prolific fundraiser and clearly comes to Atlanta BeltLine with a great deal of experience,” he added.
Koblentz said, “This will be the NCA’s first exclusive meeting focusing on the BeltLine in over four years. At that time, former Atlanta City Council President Cathy Woolard gave a very well received presentation on the BeltLine. We look forward to hearing Terri Montague and Ryan Gravel.”
