Bank of North Georgia celebrates Sandy Springs opening
Sandy Springs Mayor Eva Galambos wielded the giant scissors as joined Bank of North Georgia officials and community and business leaders to cut the ribbon Nov. 9 in celebration of the bank’s first branch in the city.
“I have the distinct pleasure to welcome the Bank of North Georgia to Sandy Springs,” the mayor told the group gathered in a new pocket park in front of the bank. “I know you will be a fabulous corporate citizen. Thank you for adding this pocket park for the people of Sandy Springs to enjoy.”
“At the Bank of North Georgia, we set out two years ago to find a physical presence in this community,” said the bank’s Executive Vice President Kenneth Davis. “We’re standing where we think it is a great place for us to be to serve this community.” The bank is at the intersection of Sandy Springs Circle and Johnson Ferry Road.
Emerson is named managing broker of Harry Norman Office
Todd Emerson has been promoted to vice president and managing broker of the Harry Norman Realtors Sandy Springs office.
Emerson has been in real estate for nine years and has spent his entire career with Harry Norman Realtors. Most recently, Emerson served as the associate managing broker for the Buckhead office. He also serves as dean of the firm’s leadership institute.
Emerson is president of the Summerhill Farm Home Owners’ Association.
SSBA breakfast program is on credit crisis
“The Credit Crises in the Lending Market & its Effect on the Economy” will be the topic of a panel discussion at the Nov. 19 breakfast meeting of the Sandy Springs Business Association at the Westin Atlanta North Hotel, 7 Concourse Parkway in Sandy Springs. The panel will be moderated by WSBTV’s Sally Sears. Doors open at 7:30 a.m. with the program beginning at 8 a.m.There is no charge for members and guests are welcome for a fee of $15. Pill Hill gets new healthcare office tenants
The Perimeter area just south of I-285, affectionately known as Pill Hill and one of metro Atlanta’s centers of healthcare services, has landed three new office tenants.
Reproductive Biology Associates, Georgia Cancer Specialists and Obstetrics & Gynecology of Atlanta PC will occupy nearly 68,000 square feet of space in Center Pointe, a 355,000-square-foot Class A office complex at 1100 Johnson Ferry Road in Sandy Springs.
Center Pointe is the first acquisition in the metro Atlanta market for BremnerDuke Healthcare Real Estate, Duke Realty Corp.’s new healthcare division. Earlier this year, the firm purchased the Center Pointe I and II office building, and four surrounding acres for nearly $45 million. The area is home to Northside Hospital, Saint Joseph’s Hospital, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and other medical services providers.
The buildings previously have housed software, technology and other general office tenants.
