Larceny from auto

2400 block of Alexander Circle – A laptop computer was stolen from a 2007 Nissan overnight Dec. 21. The owner said he may have left the car unlocked.

Unit block of Old Ivy Road – A window was broken out of a 2007 Volvo S80 the night of Dec. 30, and a laptop computer was stolen.

3300 block of Peachtree Road – A cellphone and a laptop computer were stolen from a gray 2005 Chevrolet parked in a lot from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Dec. 28.

3300 block of Peachtree Road – A gym bag was stolen from a silver 2002 Toyota Tacoma the night of Dec. 30.

3300 block of Piedmont Road – A laptop computer was stolen from a 2002 Ford EPD between 7:15 and 8 p.m. Dec. 29.

3300 block of Piedmont Road – A laptop computer, an external hard drive, luggage, jewelry and clothing were stolen from a 2000 Honda Accord between 7:45 and 10:30 p.m. Dec. 30.

4200 block of Roswell Road – An MP3 player and a diaper bag were stolen from a white 2007 Chevrolet Suburban outside Wing Factory between 6 and 6:40 p.m. Dec. 29.

700 block of Cosmopolitan Drive – A radio and a jacket were stolen from a black 1997 Jeep Wrangler at the Cosmopolitan at Lindbergh on Jan. 1.

3400 block of Lenox Road – Items were stolen from a vehicle the night of Dec. 29.

3300 block of Peachtree Road – A laptop computer and a GPS unit were taken from a red Dodge Charger at Lenox Square the afternoon of Dec. 27.

3600 block of Peachtree Road – A cellphone, a briefcase, a passport and an MP3 player were stolen from a silver 2007 Chevrolet Silverado between 3 and 3:30 p.m. Dec. 28.

3300 block of Peachtree Road – A suitcase containing clothes and gifts was taken from a GMC Yukon between Dec. 27 and 29.

3300 block of Peachtree Road – A .380-caliber Cobra handgun was stolen from a silver 2008 Dodge Charger at Lenox Square on Dec. 31.

2500 block of Piedmont Road – Numerous items were taken from a black 2006 Dodge Charger, a black 2006 Chevrolet Monte Carlo and a maroon 2005 Chevrolet Impala sometime Dec. 31 at the Lindbergh Vista. Windows were broken out of all of the vehicles.

100 block of East Andrews Drive – A briefcase with important papers was stolen from a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe outside Tavern 99 on Dec. 30.

Unit block of East Andrews Drive – A purse, a camera, a checkbook, gift cards and $400 in cash were stolen from a 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe outside Patagonia between 9:30 and 10:30 p.m. Dec. 30.

3000 block of Peachtree Road – A computer printer and a computer bag were stolen from a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado the night of Dec. 28.

3200 block of Peachtree Road – An MP3 player, a docking station and a purse were stolen from an unlocked 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe between 10:45 and 11:20 a.m. Dec. 29.

3000 block of Peachtree Road – A laptop computer was stolen from a 2004 Honda Accord between 9:11 and 9:14 p.m. Dec. 31.

3200 block of Peachtree Road – A laptop computer and a silver necklace were stolen from the trunk of a tan 2003 Pontiac Sunfire on Jan. 1.

3100 block of Peachtree Road – Three computers, a Sony PlayStation game system and clothing were stolen from a white 2004 Ford Expedition outside IHOP between 2 and 2:21 p.m. Jan. 2.

3200 block of Peachtree Road – A laptop computer was stolen from a white 2004 Honda CRV between 4 and 5:30 p.m. Jan. 2.

3500 block of Piedmont Road – A GPS unit was stolen from a red 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe outside the Homewood Suites overnight Dec. 26.

3300 block of Piedmont Road – Items were stolen from a vehicle just before 7 p.m. Dec. 30.

3600 block of Piedmont Road – A suitcase, a camera and a Nintendo game system were stolen from a gold 2009 Dodge Charger between 5 and 7 p.m. Dec. 31.

400 block of Lindbergh Drive – A radio was stolen from a 1997 Honda Accord at the 430 Lindbergh Apartments overnight Dec. 28.

400 block of Lindbergh Drive – A window was broken out of a gold 2004 Jeep Wrangler at the 430 Lindbergh Apartments overnight Dec. 28. The glove compartment was broken into, and the contents were scattered. But nothing was taken.

2800 block of Habersham Road – Two checks were stolen Dec. 21 or 22 from the middle of a checkbook left in a black 2008 GMC Yukon. The victim realized what had happened after the bank notified him of fraudulent checks being used.

1100 block of Moores Mill Road – A woman’s purse was stolen from a white 2008 Honda Odyssey outside the YMCA the morning of Dec. 31.

1100 block of Moores Mill Road – A checkbook was stolen from a white 2006 Lexus RX4 outside the YMCA the morning of Dec. 31.

2200 block of Peachtree Road – A laptop computer, jewelry and clothes were stolen from a silver 2008 Mercedes E30 the night of Dec. 29.

2300 block of Bolton Road – An Air Force uniform was stolen from a 2005 Ford F-150 on Dec. 29.

2400 block of Marietta Boulevard – A window on a white 2009 Chevrolet HHR belonging to Atlanta Beverage was broken out Dec. 28, but nothing was taken.

1700 block of Northside Drive – A GPS unit and a radar detector were stolen from a maroon 2008 Honda Accord overnight Dec. 28.

1700 block of Northside Drive – Windows were broken out of a green Honda Accord, a black Jeep Wrangler, a gray Toyota Tundra, a red Nissan Altima and a white Lincoln between 4 and 10 a.m. Jan. 1 at Berkeley Heights. The stolen items included a rifle, a handgun and a laptop computer.

1700 block of Northside Drive – An MP3 player was stolen from a black 2007 Jeep Wrangler at Berkeley Heights overnight Jan. 1.

2000 block of Bolton Road – A GPS unit and a camera were stolen from a silver 2005 Ford Focus early Dec. 30.

1400 block of Chattahoochee Avenue – A laptop computer was stolen from a 2004 Lincoln Navigator between 11:45 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. Dec. 29.

1600 block of Dupont Commons Drive – A laptop computer, a computer bag and a GPS unit were stolen from a 2002 Acura around 2:30 a.m. Dec. 30. The culprits used a large rock to break a window in the vehicle.

1700 block of Ellsworth Industrial Boulevard – A purse was stolen from a silver 2001 Mercedes CL4 outside K&G the evening of Dec. 31. A credit card from the purse then was used at a nearby Racetrac.

2100 block of Main Street – A GPS unit was stolen from a burgundy 2000 Toyota Tacoma the morning of Dec. 30.

Unit block of Montclair Drive – Tree cutters, a leaf blower and an edger were stolen from a blue Isuzu truck belonging to BDR Landscaping at 12:30 p.m. Dec. 28.

1800 block of Peachtree Road – A GPS unit, a laptop computer, and bag with credit cards and a checkbook were stolen from a gray 2003 Ford the morning of Dec. 28.

1900 block of Peachtree Road – A checkbook was stolen from a car overnight Dec. 29.

Auto theft

Unit block of Carlton Drive – A man left the keys in his 2002 Isuzu truck at 1:30 p.m. Dec. 28, and when he returned 20 minutes later, the truck was gone.

4400 block of Roswell Road – The steering column on a black 2010 Chrysler Sebring was damaged overnight Dec. 28 in an apparent effort to steal the car, which had been left unlocked.

3300 block of Peachtree Road – The lock and steering column on a gold 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe were damaged around noon Dec. 24 at Lenox Square in an apparent effort to steal the vehicle.

2500 block of Piedmont Road – A silver 1996 Dodge Caravan was stolen between Dec. 26 and 29. The owner learned of the theft after the vehicle was involved in an accident and was abandoned by the three men who had been inside it.

300 block of Brentwood Terrace – A woman said a drunk friend visited her at 10:30 p.m. Dec. 30, took the keys to her 2009 Land Rover Range Rover and drove away, bound for Florida.

500 block of Main Street – The lock and ignition switch on a blue 2001 Dodge Stratus were damaged overnight Dec. 30 at the Uptown Square Apartments in an apparent effort to steal the car.

500 block of Main Street – A silver 2007 Dodge Charger was broken into overnight Dec. 30 at the Uptown Square Apartments, and the ignition was damaged in an apparent effort to steal the car. Instead, an MP3 player and speakers were taken from the car.

500 block of Main Street – A green 2001 Dodge Intrepid was stolen from the parking lot of the Uptown Square Apartments overnight Dec. 30.

3000 block of Piedmont Road – A BP gas station employee left his 1999 Acura warming up in the parking lot while he went inside to clock out at 6 a.m. Dec. 30. When he stepped back outside, the car was gone.

1100 block of Collier Road – The steering column on a white 2000 Ford Mustang was damaged Jan. 1 in an apparent effort to steal the car.

400 block of Bishop Street – A black 2010 Acura TSX was stolen Jan. 1.

1800 block of Peachtree Road – A gray 1999 BMW 528 was stolen between Dec. 25 and 27.

Other larceny

3500 block of Peachtree Road – A shoplifter was arrested at Nordstrom at 3 p.m. Dec. 28.

3500 block of Peachtree Road – A shoplifter was arrested at Saks Fifth Avenue with $744 in merchandise Dec. 28 at 8 p.m.

3300 block of Peachtree Road – A woman said her wallet was taken from her purse Jan. 1 while she watched a movie at AMC Fork & Screen.

3600 block of Peachtree-Dunwoody Road – Copper piping and fixtures and a power drill were stolen between Dec. 25 and 28.

3400 block of Around Lenox Drive – A woman grabbed some items from American Apparel and fled the store Dec. 28 at 5 p.m.

3300 block of Peachtree Road – A shoplifter was caught at Bloomingdale’s with $1,224 worth of blue jeans hidden in a baby bag Jan. 2 at 2 p.m.

3300 block of Peachtree Road – A camera was taken from a baby stroller while the owner shopped at Lenox Square on Dec. 14. She reported the theft Dec. 28.

3300 block of Peachtree Road – A 17-year-old girl was caught trying to steal $336 in merchandise from Macy’s around 6 p.m. Dec. 28.

3300 block of Peachtree Road – A shoplifter was arrested at Bloomingdale’s on Dec. 28 at 7:30 p.m.

3300 block of Peachtree Road – Two boys, ages 15 and 16, were arrested after trying to steal $108 in merchandise from Macy’s on Dec. 28 at 6 p.m.

3300 block of Peachtree Road – A 16-year-old girl was caught trying to steal $224 in merchandise at Macy’s on Dec. 28 at 6 p.m.

3300 block of Peachtree Road – A 17-year-old girl was caught trying to steal $294 in merchandise at Macy’s on Dec. 28 at 6 p.m.

3300 block of Peachtree Road – A 17-year-old boy was nabbed trying to steal $285 in merchandise at Bloomingdale’s on Dec. 29 at 4 p.m.

3300 block of Peachtree Road – A young man was arrested after trying to steal $60 in merchandise at Bloomingdale’s at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 29, five days before his 18th birthday.

3300 block of Peachtree Road – A man was arrested at Bloomingdale’s after trying to steal $253 in merchandise just before 1 p.m. Dec. 30.

3300 block of Peachtree Road – A man stole three pairs of sunglasses from Sunglass Hut at 12:30 p.m. Dec. 30.

3300 block of Peachtree Road – An I-Cool employee said $187 was taken from the cash register while he helped a customer Dec. 30 at 2 p.m.

3300 block of Peachtree Road – A woman was arrested at Bloomingdale’s after trying to steal $199 in merchandise Dec. 30 at 2:30 p.m.

3300 block of Peachtree Road – Three shoplifters in separate incidents were arrested at Bloomingdale’s at 5:40 p.m. Dec. 30.

3300 block of Peachtree Road – Two 16-year-old girls were arrested at Macy’s after trying to steal $621 in merchandise Dec. 30 at 6:30 p.m.

3600 block of Peachtree Road – A man grabbed 10 to 15 CDs and fled Borders Books & Music at 2:30 p.m. Dec. 31.

3300 block of Peachtree Road – A man was arrested at Macy’s after trying to steal $154 in merchandise Jan. 1 at 6:15 p.m.

3300 block of Peachtree Road – A woman’s purse was stolen while she dined at Lenox Grille early Jan. 1. She called her cellphone, which was in the purse among other items, including a digital camera, and woman answered. The two women exchanged text messages, culminating in the culprit saying it would cost the woman to get her phone back.

2500 block of Piedmont Road – Two women were arrested at Target after trying to steal $298 in merchandise Dec. 27 at 11:30 a.m.

2500 block of Piedmont Road – A shoplifter was arrested at Target just before 5 p.m. Dec. 29. He also was found to have stolen items from a nearby Home Depot.

2500 block of Piedmont Road – A man was arrested at Best Buy after trying to steal $216 in merchandise Jan. 1 around 1:30 p.m.

2100 block of Piedmont Road – A man said he took a taxi to Tower Package Store to cash a check Jan. 2, but when he returned to the taxi, the driver swiped his $324 and drove away.

800 block of Sidney Marcus Boulevard – Two men were arrested Dec. 30 at the Towne Place Suites in possession of three flat-screen televisions stolen from rooms there; they also had narcotics and a weapon. A female suspect was not caught.

3300 block of Piedmont Road – A woman’s wallet was stolen while she shopped at Kroger around noon Dec. 31.

3500 block of Piedmont Road – A woman forgot her purse when she checked out of the Homewood Suites on Dec. 31. When she called the hotel Jan. 2, it had her purse, but $220 in cash was missing.

400 block of Peachtree Hills Avenue – A woman discovered Dec. 28 that her driver’s license and credit cards had been taken from her purse sometime in the previous six weeks.

1800 block of Howell Mill Road – A 17-year-old boy was arrested for stealing $37 in merchandise from Walmart just before 6 p.m. Dec. 27, two days after his birthday.

1800 block of Howell Mill Road – A shoplifter was arrested at Walmart at 8:30 p.m. Dec. 28.

1800 block of Howell Mill Road – A man was arrested at Walmart after trying to steal $46 in merchandise around 6 p.m. Dec. 31.

1700 block of Moores Mill Road – A trailer was stolen overnight Dec. 28.

2200 block of Marietta Road – A cellphone was stolen from an apartment Dec. 18. The owner said that when she called the phone, she got a voice-mail recording for a neighbor. He denied taking the phone, and a police search of his apartment failed to find the phone.

Burglary

300 block of West Wieuca Road – A man found his front door damaged when he arrived home at 10 p.m. Dec. 27, but nothing was missing.

900 block of Canterbury Road – The front door to an apartment at the Overlook at Lindbergh was kicked in between 2 and 7 p.m. Dec. 27, and a 32-inch flat-screen television, a laptop computer and a DVD player were taken.

900 block of Canterbury Road – An alarm sounded at the Overlook at Lindbergh at 12:25 p.m. Dec. 31, and officers found the front door damaged. The resident said a 32-inch television was stolen.

3300 block of Lenox Place – A man found his unlocked basement door open when arrived home at 2:15 p.m. Dec. 29. A laptop computer, two watches and an iPod docking station were gone.

2700 block of Lenox Road – The front door to Pizzeria Venti was broken out overnight Dec. 29, and a cash box with $150 was taken.

3400 block of Piedmont Road – A door to an apartment at the Cambridge Apartments was found to be damaged Dec. 30, but the renter could not be located. Nothing appeared to be missing.

400 block of Lindbergh Drive – A couple arrived home at 9 p.m. Jan. 1 and couldn’t enter their apartment because an interior lock was engaged. With the help of firefighters, they gained access through the balcony door, which was ajar. They then discovered that two laptop computer, an Xbox game system and jewelry had been stolen in the previous 26 hours.

400 block of Lindbergh Place – Two computers were stolen from a Post Lindbergh apartment the night of Dec. 31.

200 block of Pharr Road – The front glass door of Best Nails was broken out between 7 p.m. Dec. 31 and 10 a.m. Jan. 2, and an address book, bank statements and other items were taken.

2700 block of Northside Drive – Northside Church’s safe and $90,000 in cash were stolen from an office overnight Dec. 27. There was no forced entry, and more than 50 employees and volunteers have keys.

1100 block of Collier Road – The rear door to a home at the Carlyle Square Condominiums was broken late Dec. 31 or early Jan. 1, but nothing was taken.

1700 block of Commerce Drive – Two laptop computers and a digital camera were stolen from an apartment between 1 and 3 p.m. Dec. 29.

1700 block of Northside Drive – Jewelry was stolen from an apartment between 3:30 and 3:45 p.m. Dec. 28.

1700 block of Northside Drive – The front door to a Berkeley Heights apartment was broken between Dec. 27 and Jan. 2, but nothing was taken.

2100 block of Bolton Drive – Two men stole an air-conditioning unit from a vacant Midtown West apartment around 3 p.m. Jan. 1.

1100 block of Huff Road – The front door to an apartment was kicked in Dec. 28, and a handbag and a laptop computer were stolen.

1100 block of Huff Road – The front door to an apartment was damaged Dec. 30, and items were taken.

1100 block of Huff Road – The door to an apartment was broken between Dec. 24 and Jan. 1, and a laptop computer, a bracelet and cash were stolen.

1800 block of Marietta Boulevard – A man discovered Dec. 31 that the lock to his storage unit had been picked in the previous three months. The items taken included a leather couch, a DVD player, a video game system and a 42-inch television.

200 block of 26th Street – The front door to an apartment was damaged between Dec. 29 and 31, and a 40-inch television, a video game system and DVDs were stolen.

100 block of Armour Drive – Someone broke out the front door at White Cap Supply Co. early Dec. 28 and stole two computers and a monitor.

200 block of Deering Road – A woman arrived home at Townview Station on Dec. 31 to find a 36-inch television and a laptop computer missing. There were no signs of forced entry.

1900 block of Peachtree Road – Two officers driving south on Peachtree Road heard glass breaking at 1:35 a.m. Dec. 28. They found the front glass door of the Sprint store broken out and a burglar inside. The man fled out the back door, but the officers caught him and arrested him in possession of two stolen cellphones.

Robbery

2500 block of Lenox Road – A gunman approached three men at the Tempo Parkway Apartments about 6:45 p.m. Dec. 29 and demanded their wallets. He fled with the three wallets, cash and a debit card.

Aggravated assault

600 block of Lindbergh Way – A man said he was changing a tire around 11 p.m. Dec. 29 when another man attacked him without provocation, holding him down with a tire iron and striking him several times. Police made an arrest.

200 block of Noble Creek Drive – A man said he was struck and fell, suffering a gash on the back of his head, after he tried to break up a fight between two people at his apartment complex just before 5 a.m. Dec. 27.
