CameronThe Savannah College of Art and Design will host SCAD Style 2010 from April 26 to May 6 at various locations at SCAD Atlanta and SCAD Savannah. This series of events features world-renowned artists, designers and industry professionals and highlights several of the university’s programs of study, including architecture, fashion, fibers, furniture design and interior design. All lectures are free and open to the public.

Throughout SCAD Style, students and the public will have the opportunity to participate in lectures, workshops, exhibitions and book signings from some of the most well-known artists, designers and industry professionals.

Highlights of the Atlanta event include a lecture by Cameron Silver (pictured), owner of Decades boutiques in Los Angeles and London and premier authority on vintage fashion; a lecture and exhibition by supermodel and Givenchy muse Simone “Bettina” Bodin; a lecture by Christiane Lemieux, founder and creative director of textile company DwellStudio, a $20 million-a-year bedding and furniture empire; a lecture by Kelly Cutrone, founder of the public relations, branding and marketing firm People’s Revolution and star of the reality TV series “Kell on Earth”; a lecture by Julia Reed, senior writer at Vogue; and “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy” home style guru Thom Filicia.
