In late April, some members of the 2010 class of Leadership Sandy Springs volunteered with Senior Services North Fulton at the Dorothy Benson senior center.

Senior resident George Zhengg works on an intricate clay sculpture. A requirement of Leadership Sandy Springs is that participants come up with a community project. Some of members of this year’s class chose to evaluate the activities offered by Senior Services, said participant Jennifer Steele. “We found out gardening was an interest,” Steele said, but it was not being offered. The group plans to donate a planter for the seniors. The Leadership Sandy Springs 2010 class will graduate May 13.
