More than 1,400 people with Peachtree Presbyterian Partners gathered to prepare 325,000 life-saving meals over a three-day period at Peachtree Gym in Buckhead.
The event is to help stem the problem of childhood, hunger-related deaths. The food prepared over the multi-day event was headed to Haiti.
Jay Madden, pastor at Mission Peachtree Presbyterian Church, said, “We can’t solve world hunger, but we can make a difference with one child.”

About 18,000 children starve in the world everyday, according to statistics. The event attracted volunteers as young as 7 and as old 90.
