
Dunwoody High School’s languages teacher Clarissa Adams-Fletcher has been named the 2011 national teacher of the year by the American Council of Teachers of Foreign Languages (ACTFL).
Adams-Fletcher teaches Spanish and serves as the world languages chairperson at Dunwoody High School.
Georgia Department of Education program specialist Elizabeth Webb recently described Adams-Fletcher in a correspondence as “A superb language teacher, who makes language learning interesting and accessible to all learners, infusing technology throughout her instruction. She is a mentor to new teachers, and a passionate advocate for making quality language learning available to all students.”
Adams-Fletcher received her award at the recent ACTFL Conference in Boston, Mass.
