The 7th annual Bark for Art is a fundraiser for Atlanta Lab Rescue (ALR) is Saturday, June 25, 7 to 10 p.m. at Mason Murer Fine Art, 199 Armour Drive. Enjoy an evening of refreshments and libations, entertainment by R&B Artist Sommer Melody and a silent auction.

Highlights of some of the auction include a ride in a vintage WWII P-51 Fighter Plane; a four-day pass to the PGA Tournament at Atlanta Athletic Club; Braves tickets; two nights at the Ritz Carlton Reynolds Plantation; guided fly fishing trip for two; Vince Dooley autographed football; Steve Penley signed and numbered art; a cabin in Blue Ridge; and much more

Tickets are $45 and must be purchased by June 24. Advance tickets are $40 at www.barkforart.org. One hundred percent of funds is used for the rescue and care of at-risk dogs. The average cost to rescue one dog was $620 in 2010. ALR is an all volunteer, non-profit organization, whose mission is to identify and rescue Labrador Retrievers and Lab Mixes and place them in secure, loving homes.
