U.S. Rep. Tom Price was named a “Taxpayer Hero” by the Council for Citizens Against Government Waste.
Price, who represents the 6th Congressional district including much of north DeKalb County, was one of 144 members of Congress named taxpayer heroes. The Council for Citizens Against Government Waste which rates politicians based on their voting records. Those with a strong record of saving money received the designation, according to the group’s website.
“It is past time to bring the size, scope, and power of the federal government down to a level that is affordable and prudent,” Price said in a news release. “It is an honor to be named a Taxpayer Hero and to stand with many of my colleagues and millions of hardworking Americans as we fight to make government more accountable, less intrusive, and force Washington to live within its means.”
