Councilman Terry Nall, left and Mayor Mike Davis, take a ride in a golf cart to simulate the new diverging diamond interchange coming to I-285 at Ashford Dunwoody Road. The Perimeter Community Improvement Districts set up traffic cones and golf carts in the Perimeter Mall parking lot May 19 to give people a chance to see how the new intersection will work. The figure eight interchange will take drivers over to the left side of the road to help improve traffic flow at the busy intersection. It is scheduled to open June 4.

Shrujal Amin, lead designer of the diverging diamond interchange, helps guide the golf cart traffic during the May 19 test drive event for public to check out what the new intersection at Ashford Dunwoody Road and I-285 will look like.
