(L to R): Sean Hart and John Plont of Georgia Development Partners, Martha Bartlett of Doosan Infracore, and Su Ellis, President of the board of directors of the Dunwoody Nature Center.

The Dunwoody Nature Center has honored two companies with its annual award for groups or individuals making the greatest contribution to the center.

Georgia Development Partners and Doosan Infracore received the 2012 Dave Adams Award for their work helping restore the center’s meadow. The award was presented during the Dunwoody Homeowners Association’s annual meeting on Jan. 6.

The companies helped secure the grant to restore the meadow and provided equipment, expertise and volunteers in completing the project, the center said in a press release.

Sean Hart, president of Georgia Development Partners, committed more than two weeks of his company’s services and expertise in storm water management in working with landscape architects to shape and grade the rain gardens, the center said. Doosan Infracore donated equipment and excavators for the project, as well as over 100 volunteers over a two-day span, the center said.
