On  April 7, 2013,  the Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta (MJCCA) hosted a Yom HaShoah (Day of Holocaust Remembrance) commemoration at the Besser Holocaust Memorial Garden.

The program featured the lighting of the torches; a special musical presentation and a talk by a Holocaust scholar.
