Outgoing Sandy Springs City Councilman Chip Collins, District 3, has endorsed candidate Andy Bauman in the race for District 6.
The outgoing representative for District 6, Councilwoman Karen Meinzen McEnerny, has declined to make an endorsement.
“Over the last four years, I have developed a good sense of the qualities needed to be an effective council person, and Andy possesses them all,” Collins said in a press release.
Collins said Bauman has community leadership skills, professional experience as an attorney and the temperament to be an effective councilman.
“I am proud to call Andy Bauman a friend as well as a partner in the hard work of building a great city,” Collins said.
Other candidates for District 6 are: Patty Berkovitz, Jennifer Steele, John Stoj and Sonja Tonpea.
