Preliminary concepts for the Virginia-Highland Master Plan are now online at vahimasterplan.org. The 14 conceptual plans and renderings were generated after a master plan charrette on Nov. 12. Public comment on the plans is open on the website until Jan. 3.
Some of the highlights of the concepts include a roundabout on Monroe Drive at Park, traffic calming measures such as landscaped “bulb outs,” more bike lanes, improvements to crosswalks and sidewalks and parking structures in each of VaHi’s three commercial nodes.
