The next meeting of the Atlanta City Council will take place on Monday, Jan. 6 after a noon swearing-in ceremony at the Boisfeuillet Jones Atlanta Civic Center, 395 Piedmont Ave.

Following the 2014 inaugural ceremony, the Atlanta City Council will reconvene at 4 p.m. in the Council Chamber, (Second Floor), Atlanta City Hall, 55 Trinity Ave. to conduct its official business.

Official business will include the announcement of committee assignments and the election of a Council President Pro Tempore for the 2014 calendar year.
