One of the concepts for the Auburn Avenue underpass.

Central Atlanta Progress and the Atlanta Downtown Improvement District (CAP/ADID) are looking for public input into enhancing the underpass on Auburn Avenue that runs beneath Interstate 75/85 in Downtown.

Concepts are now posted showing three ideas for new lighting, signage and a large mural or art piece on the wall of the underpass. One piece of artwork would showcase iconic businesses along Sweet Auburn, while another shows a silhouette of Civil Rights marchers, while another uses giant photos to recreate the portion of Auburn Avenue that once stood where the interstate is now.

You can see the design concepts at this link and send your thoughts on comments until Jan. 31 to contact@peqatl.com.
