During a more than six-hour hearing, Fulton County Superior Court Judge Ural Glanville heard arguments from lawyers on behalf of residents living in the proposed $1.2 billion stadium’s shadow. Their motion contests an attempt by Invest Atlanta, the city’s economic development arm, to issue at least $200 million in bonds that would partially pay for the stadium.

Nathan Deal on Thursday announced he is approving clinical tests on medical cannabis after his staff consulted with the federal Food and Drug Administration. According to a report from our affiliate CBS46, the plan will let Georgia Regents University partner with British manufacturer G.W. Pharmaceuticals that is already testing cannabis oil. A second option will let Georgia Regents obtain cannabis oil from federal regulators in Mississippi.
