PEDS (Pedestrians Educating Drivers on Safety) will host a sidewalk maintenance forum on July 30, 6:30 to 8 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 1328 Peachtree St.
The forum was rescheduled to this new date as the Atlanta City Council introduced a new ordinance that would change the way sidewalk repairs are funded in Atlanta. If approved, the Public Works Department may no longer require property owners to pay for repairs to sidewalks that abut their property.
Along with the proposed policy changes, there will also be discussion on the proposed infrastructure bond referendum. For more information, visit peds.org.
