One of the new Atlanta Streetcar took a successful test run overnight, according to our media affiliate CBS46.
The testing went “extremely well,” according to Sharon Gavin, director of communications for the Atlanta Streetcar.
“A lot of work has gone into getting streetcar to this point, and to be able to take it under power tonight is exciting for all of us on the team, and also exciting for a lot of people here Downtown,” she said.
Even though the testing went well, the streetcars are not yet ready for passengers. Gavin said more testing would be done, along with training for operators and public education. She said the streetcar is still on track to open before the end of the year.
