300x200xrhodesrace.jpg.pagespeed.ic.VHOe38e_bDThe Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation’s 6th annual Uptown Rhodes Race 5K, presented by the Dewberry Foundation, will take place this Saturday, Nov. 8, at 9 a.m. at Rhodes Hall, 1516 Peachtree St.

The gently rolling course will circle around the manicured landscape of Ansley Park golf course before returning to Rhodes Hall for the finish. “Pet pit stops” will be located along the route to provide dogs with drinking water and treats.Please note: Dogs must be well behaved, leashed and under their owner’s control at all times.

After the race, participants will enjoy a post-race party featuring an array of goodies including barbecue sandwiches from LowCountry Barbecue, and live music. Participants will receive race t-shirts and goodie bags sponsored by Big Peach Running Co. Awards will be given to the top three overall finishers and the top three male and female racers in each age group, as well as first stroller and first canine finisher.

Registration is available at active.com or visit GeorgiaTrust.org.  Registration is $30 and is available online until Friday, Nov. 7. Race day registration is available for walk-up racers. This year, we also offer virtual registration to out-of-town runners who wish to participate. All proceeds benefit The Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation.
