Councilmember Felicia Moore speaks to the Buckhead Council of Neighborhoods on Jan. 8.

Atlanta City Councilmember Felicia Moore briefed the Buckhead Council of Neighborhoods at its Jan. 8 meeting about her ongoing efforts to access city financial records.

Moore has requested access to Oracle, the city’s financial reporting system, to view payments made by the city. Moore was denied access in October in a letter from Mayor Kasim Reed, who accused Moore of “Washington-style politics” and for making a “naked political grab.”

“I’m not resting on the ‘no’ from the mayor,” Moore said. “It’s our money, your money, and I think we should have access.”

The councilwoman said she wanted the public to contact mayor’s office and demand more transparency.

  1. There is something radically amiss when the last audit of the City’s development arm Invest/Atlanta was for June 30,2012

Where are the audits for June 30 ,2013 ?

Where are the audits for June 30, 2014 ?

Note Auditors comments on June 30 2012 audit appear to be subject to and not a clean audit where is managements response to Auditors criticism of internal procedures ????????

Waiting for the Mayor who Chairs Invest/Atlanta to respond. Can any one in COA be trusted to handle infrastructure investments when their is a absolute lack of transparency in Financial reporting ??
