Atlanta Police are looking for leads in a deadly double-shooting in the heart of Little Five Points. According to WSB, two men were shot and killed just before 3 a.m. behind the Vortex bar and restaurant on Moreland Avenue.
Police identified the victims as Joseph Hruska, 33, and Chaitanyalila Kelsey, 32, of Atlanta. They said they are notifying the other victim’s family before releasing his name. A Vortex employee heard the who, went to investigate and called 911 after finding one man on the ground. Police arrived and found the second man about 30 feet away. There were no witnesses.
Police have not said what the connection is between the two men or if robbery was a motive, but said two people were also robbed at gunpoint of cell phones and other valuables on North Highland Avenue about the same time as the shooting was called in.
