Westside Provisions District continues its support of Friends of Atlanta Waterworks, a Park Pride “Friends of the Park” group campaigning to re-open Atlanta Waterworks, as a sponsor of the group’s upcoming spring fundraiser at Monday Night Brewing. Hosted by Friends of Atlanta Waterworks on  April 28, from 6 to 8 p.m., this festive evening will bring together neighbors and community supporters to raise awareness of and funds for the re-opening of Atlanta Waterworks, a greenspace that was once a public park located on the city’s Westside.

Jamestown and TuckerMott, the developers behind Westside Provisions District, have been active supporters of the Park Pride group since 2014 and its efforts to create more community space within the neighborhood. Atlanta Waterworks and its surrounding land were previously open to the public for nearly a century before closing two decades ago. The re-opening of this greenspace would offer Atlantans access to outdoor public amenities including a gazebo, lodge and pavilion as well as expansive views of the Atlanta skyline.

The fundraising event will feature progress updates from Friends of Atlanta Waterworks co-chairs Dwight Glover and Chris LeCraw as well as detailed renderings of the renovation plans for Atlanta Waterworks. Tickets are $15 per person for non-drinking guests. The “Thirsty Friend” ticket is $25 per person and includes six tasting tickets and a Monday Night Brewing souvenir glass. The “Benefactor” ticket is $45 per person and includes six tasting tickets, a Monday Night Brewing souvenir glass and a $20 donation to Friends of Atlanta Waterworks. All guests will enjoy an assortment of bites from Westside Provisions District restaurants West Egg Café and Ormsby’s as well as neighborhood eateries including Souper Jenny’s and FIGO Pasta. All proceeds will directly benefit the Friends of Atlanta Waterworks, a Park Pride “Friends of the Park” group working towards the re-opening of the greenspace. Tickets can be purchased online at http://atlantawaterworks.brownpapertickets.com/ or at the door.
