Street performer and self-proclaimed “ambassador of mirth” Baton Bob (Bob Jamerson) will receive a $20,000 settlement from the city of Atlanta after his arrest in 2013. According to a report in Creative Loafing, Baton Bob filed a federal lawsuit claiming wrongful arrest and violation of his constitutional rights after APD officers slapped the cuffs on him at Colony Square as he celebrated the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to end the federal gay marriage ban.

Atlanta Police are investigating how the image of a nude man appeared on a digital billboard at the corner of Peachtree and East Paces Ferry in the heart of Buckhead Village on Sunday night. According to 11Alive, power had to be cut to the billboard until the owners arrived at the scene. Officials are unsure whether the billboard was hacked or if a disgruntled employee is to blame.

Jury selection got under way this week in the case against a man and a juvenile accused of murdering X’avier Arnold during a robbery in Kirkwood in 2013, according to the AJC. Arnold, an Army Reservist, was shot in the back of the head the night after Christmas as he walked with his girlfriend and another friend on path near Rogers Street.
