Gas South Arena hosted a groundbreaking event on Sept. 3 to kick off a $175 million investment in the arena and the surrounding Gas South District campus in Duluth. The project is expected to be completed by early 2028.
Highlights of the project include a new 1,000-space parking deck and a reimagined premium experience that includes new loge seating, private suites, and Personal Seat Licenses (PSLs) that will give sports fans the exclusive right to buy season tickets for a specific seat in a stadium.
“We are excited about this project and what it will mean for everyone who visits Gas South Arena,” Gas South District President & Chief Executive Officer Stan Hall said at the event. “At the heart of these improvements is our commitment to making the guest experience better, from accessibility and arrival to the services patrons receive once they walk through our doors. We have always taken great pride in how we serve our guests, and this project gives us even more opportunities to create an experience that keeps people coming back.”
The project will also provide the Arena with:
- An expanded premium hospitality spaces with custom bars, upscale food and beverage offerings, and exclusive gathering areas.
- New premium seating options designed to provide greater comfort, flexibility, and unique viewing experiences.
- Modernized digital signage featuring larger, high-definition displays that will help create a more vibrant atmosphere and enhance the fan experience before, during, and after events.
- Enhanced concession experiences through modern service concepts and technology designed to reduce wait times, improve convenience, and create a more seamless guest experience.
