The Carl Vinson Institute of the University of Georgia has released its study of the proposed city of LaVista Hills in DeKalb County. The report projects that LaVista Hills can provide public safety, parks, planning, zoning, business development, and road maintenance with no tax increase and a substantial annual surplus of over $1.7 million. “The UGA analysis confirms what we already knew, that LaVista Hills will provide increased services with no new taxes. UGA completed as conservative and accurate a study as possible, and they still project a surplus of more than a million and a half dollars every year,” said Allen Venet, Co-Chair of LaVista Hills YES.

An online activist group is claims it is behind the hacking of a Buckhead billboard and posting a photo of a naked man, according to 11Alive. The group, calling itself the “Assange Shuffle Collection,” apparently to honor WikiLeaks chief Julian Assange, posted on social media that it was behind the appearance of the photo on an electronic billboard at Peachtree and East Paces Ferry roads.
