Atlanta Public Schools and the Atlanta Police Department will be cracking down on drivers who speed past stopped school buses with the help of new camera technology.
According to CBS46, the new cameras will take video and photographs of a vehicle’s license plate if it fails to stop when students are getting on and off the bus.
First offenders will get off with a warning, but another violation will mean a $300 ticket. Subsequent offenses will see fines increase to $750 and $1,000 for a third offense.
