
The Georgia Supreme Court has upheld Mayor Kasim Reed’s pension reform, ruling against a legal challenge brought by employees who claimed it unconstitutional, according to a report in the AJC. A handful of employees representing Atlanta fire, police and general workers filed a class action lawsuit two years ago in Fulton County Supreme Court, saying Reed’s decision to force them to pay 5 percent more toward their retirement benefits was in violation of their contract and, therefore, unconstitutional.
The Woodruff Arts Center released renderings of the Alliance Theatre will look like after renovations. The Atlanta Business Chronicle reports that the Alliance will get upgrades to technology and infrastructure as well as new amenities for patrons.

Brand Properties has released new renderings of the mixed-use building that will occupy the former site of the Garden Hills Shopping Center on Peachtree Road, according to BuckheadView. Residents balked at the original design for the eight-story building, which will house offices and ground floor retail.
