The rescheduled Flux Night 2015: Dream is set for this Saturday, Nov. 7, so fingers crossed the predicted rain holds off.
The one-night-only public art event will take place in Atlanta’s historic Old Fourth Ward and will feature the original 12 projects curated by Nato Thompson, chief curator of Creative Time, NYC.
More than 20,000 attendees are expected to attend the temporary art installations inspired by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The event will run from 7 p.m. to midnight at the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site in the O4W on Auburn and Edgewood Avenues (between Jackson and Howell Streets) and Boulevard.
Flux Night 2015: Dream artists include: Sheila Pree Bright (Atlanta), Center for Tactical Magic (San Francisco), Courtesy the Artists (New York City), Stephon Ferguson (Atlanta), Chris Johnson (Oakland) + Hank Willis Thomas (Brooklyn) + Byete Ross Smith (Harlem) + Kamal Sinclair (Los Angeles), Jennifer Wen Ma (New York City and Beijing), Yoko Ono (Nutopia), Otabenga Jones & Associates (Houston), Pedro Reyes (Mexico City), and Jessica Scott-Felder (Atlanta).
Attendees are encouraged to take MARTA, Uber, walk or bike to the event since parking will be very limited.
